Mask Mandate

Dear Patients:

We trust this message finds you and your families in good health. This is to inform you that the mask (face covering) mandate ends on April 2, 2023, for workers, patients, and visitors in California's healthcare settings and offices regardless of their vaccination status per new guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).  Dentists, dental workers, and other healthcare providers must continue to wear masks while performing patient procedures, and in these settings, current Cal/OSHA and Dental Board of California infection control regulations will continue to apply as they did before the pandemic. 

Patients, visitors, and healthcare workers always retain the option to wear a face mask or respirator and cannot be prevented from doing so. CDPH recommends that any individual with respiratory symptoms, such as a cough, wear a mask when around others.

Dental practices must continue to screen patients for COVID-19 prior to and at their appointments in accordance with the requirements of the airborne transmissible disease regulation.  Our dental office will also continue to have air filters in each operatory room to allow for increased local air filtration.  

Please note that if any patient feels uncomfortable entering our dental office and sitting in the waiting room with other patients who may not be wearing masks while awaiting their appointment, please text or call us when you arrive in the parking lot.  We will arrange to greet you at our rear door and accompany you directly to your operatory room.  There may be a short waiting time in the parking lot to allow us to accommodate your request.  Thank you.
